Having been left by our guide up a mountain in the Andes and having to push the next one out of a glacier in Iceland this time we thought we'd try it alone.
We will be driving 2,500 miles from Kathmandu to Pondicherry in southern India in 2 weeks, hoping to raise as much money as possible for 2 charites: Mercy Corps and Frank Water Projects.
With Sabeena's navigational skills and Julia's driving ability our chances are small, but the thought of seeing tigers and eating proper curries with some shopping thrown in meant we couldn't say no.

Day 15 - Pondicherry!

Make Pondicherry at 9.30 in the morning. Have to deliver our TUK TUK to a lock up 10 kms outside of town. It was emotional. The end party was on a beach outside of the city. Very very messy. Ended up going back to the hotel in a bus full of drunken rickshaw runners cheering on the bus driver to horn please and run everyone off the road. Mr Bus Driver wasn't amused. |
